BREITLING-TRINITY 3 WELL NEW DRILLING PROSPECT
| Location | Trinity #1 - Okfuskee County, Oklahoma Trinity #2 – Nueces County, Texas Trinity #3 – Jackson County, Oklahoma |
|---|---|
| Depth | Trinity #1 – 3,700 feet TVD Trinity #2 – 7,500 feet TVD Trinity #3 – 8,500 feet TVD |
| Geology | The Trinity #1 prospect is a relatively low-cost opportunity to test multiple oil sands that have proven highly prolific in surrounding fields. A single 3,700’ well will test the primary objectives: the Wilcox at 3,650’ and the Lower Gilcrease at 2,725’. Strong secondary objectives are the Hunton at 3,720’, the Cromwell at 2,900’, Union Valley at 2,800’, the Upper Gilcrease at 2,500’ the Booch at 2,300’, the Bartlesville at 1,900’ and the Croweberg at 1,100’. The Trinity #2 will be drilled to a depth of approximately 7,500’ to test for oil and gas in the Lamb (6,600’), Lockhart (6,800’) and the 7100’ sands. Geologically the Trinity #2 is situated in an area surrounded by commercial wells. Setting up the prospect is a “down to the southeast fault” that creates a trapping mechanism for hydrocarbons migrating updip through the porous sands. The cross-section on Page 11 shows the three primary sands tilted upward and terminating at the fault. At least 12 secondary Frio sands also terminate along the fault, any of which could be productive and add to the cumulative reserves The Trinity #3 location and Jackson County is located in southwestern Oklahoma with the Red River separating the county from Texas. Oil production was first established in the immediate area on the Texas side with the discovery of the Thrash Field in 1964. The field is located approximately 3 miles east of the Trinity #3 location. The next significant development started in 1976 with the discovery of Enserch’s Red River Field located about 2.5 miles southwest of the Trinity #3. Production was established from Mississippian “reef-like” structures. Although many single well fields were discovered on the narrow pinnacles, several multi-well Mississippian fields were also discovered. Although the fields differed in areal extent, they had one thing in common; massive oil production per well. It was not uncommon for individual wells to produce 500,000 to more than 1,000,000 BO. The wells were all concentrated along the south side of the Red River on a trend named The Land of the Giants. Strangely though, superstitious drillers seldom crossed the Red River into Jackson County. |
